7. Browser extension CampoBrokerBot

CampoBrokerBot es una extensión de navegador Google Chrome desarrollada por Campo Broker LLC que facilita la gestión y seguimiento de vehículos en las plataformas de subasta Copart e IAAI. Esta sección describe de forma específica y detallada los datos que la extensión recopila, cómo los utiliza, almacena, comparte y protege.

7.1. Data Collected by the Extension

The extension collects only the data strictly necessary for its operation. Each category is detailed below:

a) Authentication information

• Session token issued by campobroker.com when logging in from the extension.
• User ID (numeric ID) associated with your Campo Broker account.

Purpose: Verify that you are an authorized user and link the extension's features to your account.

b) Auction session cookies

Purpose: To ensure the auction session is safely closed when the extension is disabled, uninstalled, or loses connection (“dead-man’s switch” security mechanism). c) Browsing activity on auction sites

• URLs Visited exclusively dentro de los dominios copart.com, copart.ca, iaai.com y portal.auctionnow.iaai.com.
• Page titles and loading status of auction tabs.

Purpose: Determine which page of the auction you are on (search, lot details, bidding panel) to activate the corresponding feature (calculator, seller information, VIN complete, etc.). The extension NO It does not record or transmit your general browsing history outside of these auction domains.

d) Device identifier

• Browser fingerprint generated using the Fingerprint2 library. This fingerprint is an anonymous technical identifier based on browser characteristics (resolution, installed fonts, time zone) and does not contain personally identifiable information.

Purpose: Prevent the simultaneous use of the same account from multiple devices and detect unauthorized access.

e) Telemetry and diagnostics (with consent)

If telemetry is enabled (enabled by default; the user can disable it), the extension can collect:

• JavaScript errors and unhandled exceptions that occur within the extension.
• Error and warning console messages on auction pages.

Purpose: identify and correct errors, monitor compatibility with changes to auction sites, improve the extension's stability, and detect third-party extensions that may conflict with ours or compromise your account.

f) Local browser storage

• User preferences (language, telemetry consent, feature settings).
• Authentication status (whether you are logged in or not).
• Temporary cache of batch data that has been queried to improve performance.

Purpose: to save your preferences and avoid repeated requests to the server. This data is stored in your browser and are not transmitted except for those strictly necessary for the operation of the service.

7.2. How We Use Data

The data collected by the extension is used exclusively for:

• Authenticate the user and provide the subscribed features (rate calculator, seller information, VIN complete, bids, etc.).
• Protect the security of auction accounts by automatically logging users out.
• Diagnose and fix technical errors in the extension.
• Verify compliance with the service usage limits.

We do not use the data for advertising, user profiling, sale to third parties, or any purpose unrelated to the operation of the extension.

7.3. How We Store Data

• campobroker.com — our main server, used for authentication, processing features, and storing telemetry data.
• Google Maps API — used exclusively to calculate vehicle shipping distances. Only the origin and destination addresses for the shipment are transmitted; no personal data is transmitted.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose unrelated to the operation of the extension.

7.5. Extension Permissions

The extension requests the following browser permissions, each of which is strictly necessary:
