# Introduction to Campo Brokers

Campo Brokers is a **technology platform for vehicle importers and buyers** at U.S. auctions (Copart and IAAI). It brings together, in one place, the tools to search for vehicles, coordinate payments, request towing, manage documents, prepare the export, and track the whole process from a dashboard in Spanish.

## The model: direct access, not brokering on your behalf

Unlike a traditional broker who bids for you, Campo Brokers gives you **access and tools to operate on your own**, with full autonomy:

- **You choose** the vehicle, review the information available, and set your budget.
- **You decide** how much to bid, and you take on the responsibility for that bid.
- Campo Brokers provides access to auction accounts, the systems, support, and operational coordination (payments, towing, warehouses, documents).

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Campo Brokers **does not decide what to buy or bid on your behalf**. The decision to bid, buy, or import always belongs to the user. Our role is to facilitate access, tools, and coordination within the contracted scope.

## Who is it for?

- **Importers and dealers** in Latin America and the Caribbean who want to buy at Copart/IAAI without holding their own dealer license.
- **Individual buyers** looking for a vehicle at a U.S. auction with guidance and support in Spanish.
- People who need **calculation tools** (auction fees, taxes, towing) and **vehicle history reports** before buying.

## What can you do on the platform?

- Create your account and verify your identity to activate a plan (see [Registration](#registro) and [Membership and Plans](#membresia-planes)).
- Search for vehicles at Copart and IAAI and view the details of each lot (see [Search and Purchase](#busqueda-compra)).
- Use **CampoBrokerBot**, the Chrome extension that goes with you as you browse the auctions (see [CampoBrokerBot](#campobrokerbot)).
- Calculate costs before buying with the **free calculators** (see [Calculators](#calculadoras)).
- Buy **vehicle history reports** (see [Vehicle History Reports](#carfax)).
- Pay, reconcile (**Pre-Alert**), request **towing**, and send the vehicle to an **export workshop/warehouse** (see [Payment and Reconciliation](#pago-conciliacion), [Towing](#grua), and [Workshop and Export](#taller-exportacion)).

## Countries and coverage

Campo Brokers can serve users from a range of countries, including **Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, and the United States**. The network of authorized warehouses runs routes focused on **Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe**.

> [!NOTE]
> Before bidding, confirm with your customs broker or local authority whether the vehicle, title, year, condition, and documentation are accepted in your country. Logistics availability for destinations outside that region is confirmed on a case-by-case basis.

## Trademark notice

Campo Brokers is an **independent** platform and is not affiliated with, associated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Copart, Inc., Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. (IAA/IAAI), or their affiliates or related companies. References to Copart or IAAI are solely to identify third-party auction platforms where the user may operate, subject to each auction's rules.

# Quick Start: How It Works

Campo Brokers can be understood in **three stages** and one **complete journey** that runs from creating your account to exporting the vehicle. This section gives you the bird's-eye view; each step has its own section with full detail.

## The 3 stages

1. **Subscription + account (US$5/year membership).** You create your account and, when you activate a plan, you pay the **US$5** annual membership. See [Registration](#registro).
2. **Plan activation (Verified Access).** Choose **Importer** (refundable **US$400** deposit, **US$10,000** bid cap) or **Dealer** (**US$800** deposit, **US$20,000** cap), upload your documents, and once approved, you receive an **assigned auction account**. See [Membership and Plans](#membresia-planes).
3. **Auction operation.** You search, bid, and, if you win, follow the payment and logistics flow through to export.

## The complete journey (from registration to export)

| Step | What you do | Section |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Registration | Create your account and complete your profile | [Registration](#registro) |
| 2. Verification | Activate Importer or Dealer and upload documents | [Membership and Plans](#membresia-planes) |
| 3. Auction account | Receive your assigned Copart/IAAI account | [My Dashboard](#dashboard) |
| 4. Search | Search for vehicles and review each lot | [Search and Purchase](#busqueda-compra) |
| 5. Analyze | Calculate costs and check the vehicle history | [Calculators](#calculadoras), [Vehicle History Reports](#carfax) |
| 6. Bid / buy | Place a bid or use "Buy It Now" | [Search and Purchase](#busqueda-compra) |
| 7. Pay (Pre-Alert) | Complete the Pre-Alert and pay the balance | [Payment and Reconciliation](#pago-conciliacion) |
| 8. Towing | Request pickup of the vehicle | [Towing](#grua) |
| 9. Workshop / warehouse | Prepare the vehicle and documents for export | [Workshop and Export](#taller-exportacion) |
| 10. Export | The vehicle ships to port and on to your country | [Workshop and Export](#taller-exportacion) |

> [!NOTE]
> **You don't have to go through all ten steps.** Auction accounts, towing, and the export warehouse are contracted separately: you use only the ones you actually need, and there is no mandatory bundle.
>
> For example, if you already have a trusted workshop in the United States and want to send your vehicles straight there, you can. In that case you would use only the auction accounts: when you win a lot, the system will ask where to send the **original title**, you enter your workshop's address, and we ship it via FedEx as soon as it reaches our office. Steps 9 and 10 simply never appear in your flow.

## What you can do without activating a plan

Even without an active plan, you can use the free and low-cost tools:

- The **calculators** for auction fees, DR taxes, and towing (free).
- Buying **vehicle history reports**.
- Installing **CampoBrokerBot** (with a Premium option).

To **bid and buy**, you need to activate an Importer or Dealer plan.

> [!TIP]
> First time here? Read in order [Introduction](#introduccion) → [Registration](#registro) → [Membership and Plans](#membresia-planes), and keep the [full pricing table](#precios) handy.

# Registration and Sign-In

Creating your Campo Brokers account takes less than a minute. Registration is **free**; the US$5 annual membership is only charged when you decide to activate an Importer or Dealer plan (see [Membership and Plans](#membresia-planes)).

## Create your account

1. Go to the **sign-up/sign-in** page: [campobroker.com/iniciar-sesion-registrarse](https://campobroker.com/iniciar-sesion-registrarse/).
2. Enter your **email address** and click **Continue**. The system checks whether the email already exists:
   - If it's **new**, the registration form appears.
   - If it **already exists**, the sign-in form appears.
3. In the registration form, fill in: **first name**, **last name**, **country**, and a **password**.
4. Check the **Terms and Conditions** box and complete the **reCAPTCHA** (anti-bot verification).
5. Click **Create my account**. Your account is created, your **NIP** (personal ID number, format `CAM…`) is generated, and you receive a **welcome email**.
6. You're logged in automatically and land on your **dashboard** (or the welcome screen).

> [!TIP]
> You can also sign up with **Google (one tap)** when the button is available: just confirm your name and country and you're done.

1. Go to [campobroker.com/iniciar-sesion-registrarse](https://campobroker.com/iniciar-sesion-registrarse/) (or the sign-in page).
2. Enter your email and your **password**.
3. Click **Sign in**. For security, after several failed attempts access is temporarily limited.

## Reset your password

If you forgot it, the process uses a **one-time code** sent by email:

1. Go to [campobroker.com/recuperar-contrasena](https://campobroker.com/recuperar-contrasena/).
2. Enter your email and click **Send code**. You'll receive a **6-digit code** valid for **30 minutes**.
3. Enter the code and click **Verify code**.
4. Set your **new password** (minimum 8 characters) and confirm it.
5. Sign in again with your new password.

> [!NOTE]
> For security, code requests are limited (a few per hour) and each code can only be used once.

## Complete your profile

The first time you enter the dashboard, if any required fields are missing (first name, last name, or country), the system will ask you to complete them before continuing. You can also edit this information later in **Settings** inside the dashboard (see [My Dashboard](#dashboard)).

## What is the NIP?

The **NIP** is your personal identifier within Campo Brokers (format `CAM……`). You'll see it on your dashboard, and it's a good idea to have it handy when you contact support, since it speeds up service.

## Security of your data

- Your documents are stored **privately** and are not publicly accessible.
- Access is protected with **reCAPTCHA**, attempt limits, and other anti-abuse measures.
- Payments are processed through **PayPal**; Campo Brokers does not store your card details.

# Membership and Plans (Verified Access)

To **bid and buy** at Copart/IAAI you need to activate a plan. There are two plans — **Importer** and **Dealer** — and both require the **US$5 annual membership** plus a **refundable security deposit**.

## Plan comparison

| Item | Importer | Dealer |
|---|---|---|
| Annual membership | US$5 | US$5 |
| Security deposit (refundable) | US$400 | US$800 |
| Bid limit per vehicle | up to US$10,000 | up to US$20,000 |
| Assigned auction account | Yes | Yes |

> [!NOTE]
> The **deposit is not a payment toward a vehicle** or a penalty. It's a **refundable** operational backstop that covers the risk of operating with accounts and processes tied to auctions, payments, and vehicles won.

## What is the US$5 membership?

It's the annual fee that keeps your account active for the Importer or Dealer flows. It should not be confused with old registration fees, which **no longer exist**.

## Activating Verified Access (step by step)

Activation is done from your dashboard, in the **Verified Access** section:

1. **Choose your plan**: Importer (US$400, US$10,000 cap) or Dealer (US$800, US$20,000 cap).
2. **Upload your documents**: proof of identity and proof of address (legible images, usually JPG/PNG).
3. **Confirm your phone number and country**.
4. **Pay** the membership and deposit via **PayPal**.
5. Your application goes **under review**. Once the team approves it, the status changes to **active** and your **Verified Access badge** appears.

### Possible statuses

- **Pending review**: documents received, being validated.
- **Action required**: something is missing (for example, an illegible or expired document). You'll see the reason and be able to **resubmit** your documents.
- **Active**: your auction account is enabled.

## Upgrading from Importer to Dealer

If you already have Importer and want a higher limit, you can **upgrade to Dealer** by paying the difference in the deposit (an additional US$400) from the Verified Access section.

## Deposit refund

The deposit (US$400 or US$800) can be refunded when you **close your account**, as long as **there are no outstanding debts**: unpaid vehicles, fines, penalties, auction charges, pending services, or open cases.

- The refund goes to the **same payment method** you used.
- It usually takes **4 to 10 days** to process.
- To request it, email [ayuda@campobroker.com](mailto:ayuda@campobroker.com).

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Activating a plan **does not guarantee** that any given vehicle can be imported into your country. Before bidding, confirm the title, year, condition, and documentation with your customs broker. See [Glossary: title types](#glosario).

# Vehicle Search and Purchase

Campo Brokers includes a **vehicle search tool** for Copart and IAAI and a **lot page** with built-in calculators so you can estimate the real cost before bidding.

## Search for vehicles

Go to the search tool at [campobroker.com/buscar](https://campobroker.com/buscar/). You can filter by:

- **Make** and **model** (up to 3 models).
- **Year range** (from / to).
- **Damage type**.
- **State / location** (U.S.).
- **Auction source**: Copart or IAAI.
- **VIN prefix**.

Sort results by recommended, auction date, pre-bid price, "Buy It Now" price, year, or odometer, and switch the sort direction. Results show **24 vehicles per page**, with dynamic navigation (no page reloads). Each card shows the photo, title, VIN, location, odometer, damage, title type, lot number, seller, sale date/status, and price (final bid or "Buy It Now").

## View a lot's details

Click **View lot** on a card to open the vehicle's page (`/lot/{lot-number}`), which includes:

- **Photo gallery** with an expandable viewer (lightbox).
- **Vehicle data**: title, VIN (with a copy button), source (link to Copart/IAAI), location, odometer, and sale date/status.
- **Sale history** for the VIN (previous appearances with dates, prices, and odometer).
- **Similar vehicles**.
- **Reserve price badge** (when available, usually with CampoBrokerBot Premium).

### Calculators inside the lot page

The lot page includes three calculators (estimates in USD):

1. **Auction**: enter the bid amount, choose the title type (Salvage/Clean), and turn on preferential rates to see the fee breakdown and the total.
2. **DR Customs**: select make/model/country/year/specs to see the customs (DGA) and registration (DGII) totals for the Dominican Republic.
3. **Towing**: enter the origin, destination, and the vehicle's condition to estimate the transport cost.

More detail on each one in [Calculators](#calculadoras).

## Bidding or "Buy It Now"

- To **bid**, use your assigned auction account (the **Auction Accounts** section of the dashboard) and/or use **CampoBrokerBot** while browsing Copart/IAAI.
- If the lot has a **"Buy It Now"** price, the button takes you to your dashboard to continue the process.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> You are the one browsing, adding to your watchlist, bidding, and deciding. Always follow Copart and IAAI's rules, fees, and deadlines. Before bidding, check the title type, photos, damage, fees, towing costs, taxes, and your country's requirements. See [Glossary](#glosario).

## What happens after you win

If you win a vehicle, follow the [Payment and Reconciliation (Pre-Alert)](#pago-conciliacion) flow: complete the Pre-Alert, pay the **purchase fee of US$289 per vehicle (first 10 vehicles; US$300 from the 11th onward)**, review the auction invoice, and pay on time. Copart/IAAI deadlines are strict; delays can lead to storage fees, penalties, or account suspension.

---

# CampoBrokerBot (Chrome Extension)

**CampoBrokerBot** is Campo Brokers' Chrome extension that goes with you while you use Copart or IAAI. It connects your auction session to your dashboard and surfaces useful information right on the lot pages.

## Installation

1. Download the extension from the Chrome Web Store: [CampoBrokerBot on the Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/campobrokerbot/onnjmmjeeonbpmnbnlkmildbgdnknpnh).
2. Click **Add to Chrome**.
3. Open the extension and **sign in with the same account** you use on Campo Brokers.
4. Open Copart or IAAI: the extension will start displaying information on the lots.

## What it does (free version)

- Connects your Copart/IAAI session to Campo Brokers.
- Syncs operational data (watchlist, lots, vehicles won) with your dashboard.
- Streamlines your workflow while you browse the auctions.

## CampoBrokerBot Premium (US$15 / 30 days)

The Premium subscription unlocks, for 30 days:

- The seller's **reserve price** shown right on the lot (Copart/IAAI).
- A **real-time fee and cost calculator** overlaid on the page.
- Seller identification and price comparison.

Activate it from the **CampoBrokerBot** section of your dashboard (paid via PayPal). You'll see the **days remaining** and can renew before it expires to avoid any gap in coverage.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> CampoBrokerBot **does not bid automatically** on your behalf and does not make purchasing decisions. It's an information and support tool; you're always the one deciding and bidding.

> [!NOTE]
> Premium is a 30-day subscription that only renews if you renew it yourself before it expires; it is not a surprise automatic recurring charge.

# Vehicle History Reports

Before buying, it's worth checking the vehicle's **history**. Campo Brokers lets you generate **vehicle history** reports by VIN, delivered as a PDF and by email. When available for the VIN, the report includes the original **Window Sticker** at no extra cost.

## How to get a report

1. Go to the [vehicle history report tool](https://campobroker.com/comprar-carfax/) (or from **Vehicle History Reports** in your dashboard).
2. Enter the **VIN** (17 characters) and validate it.
3. Choose the type of history report available.
4. Pay for the report **or** use an available report from your package.
5. You'll get the **PDF** on screen and by **email**.

## Pricing

| Option | Price | Per report |
|---|---|---|
| Individual report | US$4.99 | US$4.99 |
| Starter Package (3) | US$9.99 | ~US$3.33 (33% OFF) |
| Pro Package (10) | US$24.99 | ~US$2.50 (50% OFF) |
| Business Package (25) | US$49.99 | US$2.00 (60% OFF) |
| Dealer Package (50) | US$79.99 | US$1.60 (68% OFF) |

## How packages work

- When you buy a package, the reports are loaded onto your account.
- Every time you generate a report, it **uses up 1 available report** (FIFO order: oldest first).
- Reports in your package **never expire**; use them at your own pace.
- Your balance is shown on the dashboard (and as a badge in the menu).

## Window Sticker: why it matters

The **Window Sticker** is the factory label showing the vehicle's equipment, assembly location, and build date. It's key for classifying tariffs and, in some cases, for claiming preferential tariff treatment (for example, North American origin). It's included free with the report whenever it's available for the VIN.

## What the report is useful for

- Spotting **odometer rollbacks**, accidents, and damage reports.
- Knowing the **title type** and brands (salvage, rebuilt, flood, etc.).
- Viewing owner history, registrations, and key dates.

> [!TIP]
> Combine the report with the [calculators](#calculadoras) to estimate your total cost before bidding.

---

# Calculators (Free Tools)

Campo Brokers offers three **free** calculators to estimate costs before you buy. These are **guidance** tools (high accuracy, not contractual).

## 1. Auction fee calculator

Estimates Copart/IAAI fees before you bid.

- **Page:** [campobroker.com/calculadora-subastas](https://campobroker.com/calculadora-subastas/)
- **How to use it:** enter the bid amount, choose the title type (Salvage/Clean) and, if it applies, turn on **preferential rates**; click calculate.
- **Result:** a breakdown of the buyer's fees (buyer fee, gate/doc/livebid, etc.) and the **estimated total** before taxes and logistics.

## 2. Tax calculator (Dominican Republic)

Estimates the taxes to register an imported vehicle in the DR, based on official tables.

- **Page:** [campobroker.com/calculadora-impuestos-vehiculos](https://campobroker.com/calculadora-impuestos-vehiculos/)
- **How to use it:** select **Make → Model → Country → Year → Spec**; the system looks up the official values (FOB/CIF) and calculates.
- **Result:** total **DGA (customs)** and total **DGII (registration)** with a breakdown (ITBIS, excise tax, customs service fee, CO₂, first-time registration, tax sticker) and conversion to DOP.

### CO₂ rules

The CO₂ tax varies based on the vehicle's emissions:

| Emissions range | Rate |
|---|---|
| < 120 g/km | 0% |
| > 120 to 220 g/km | 1% |
| > 220 to 380 g/km | 2% |
| > 380 g/km or no data | 3% |

> [!WARNING]
> The tax calculator is **for guidance only** (roughly 95% accuracy, based on official sources). Results can vary due to customs adjustments, regulatory changes, or the vehicle's condition. **It does not apply** to electric or hybrid vehicles, heavy/commercial vehicles or machinery, or when importing without a customs license registered as a dealer with the DGA.

## 3. Towing calculator

Estimates the cost of ground transport from the auction yard to the destination.

- **Page:** [campobroker.com/solicitar-grua-central-dispatch](https://campobroker.com/solicitar-grua-central-dispatch/)
- **How to use it:** enter the **origin** and **destination** addresses (U.S.) and the **vehicle's condition** (operable / non-operable); click calculate.
- **Result:** distance and estimated cost. Reference: approx. **US$0.65/mile**, with a **US$200 minimum** and **+US$50** if the vehicle is non-operable.

> [!NOTE]
> The towing estimate is a reference only; the actual transport cost is set by the carrier. See [Towing](#grua).

---

# Payment and Reconciliation (Pre-Alert)

Once you **win** a vehicle, the payment flow begins. This is the most sensitive part: Copart/IAAI deadlines are strict, and delays create costs. Always follow the flow set out inside Campo Brokers.

## What is the Pre-Alert

The **Pre-Alert** is the reconciliation process that confirms your purchase and sets up the vehicle payment. It costs **US$85** if you'll pay for your vehicle via direct deposit (PNC), or **US$130 + 0.20% of your auction invoice total** (min US$10) if you'll pay via Banreservas. The PayPal fee is covered by Campo Brokers.

## Costs when you win a vehicle

| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| Purchase fee | US$289 per vehicle (first 10 vehicles) and US$300 from the 11th onward |
| Pre-Alert (reconciliation) | US$85 (direct deposit, PNC) or US$130 + 0.20% of the auction invoice, min US$10 (Banreservas) |
| Auction invoice | Depends on the lot (price + Copart/IAAI fees) |

## Steps after winning

1. **Complete the Pre-Alert** in your dashboard.
2. **Pay the purchase fee (US$289 for your first 10 vehicles; US$300 from the 11th onward)** and the Pre-Alert.
3. **Review the invoice** for the vehicle (price + auction fees).
4. **Pay the balance on time** through the flow indicated in Campo Brokers, and upload any receipts requested.

## Payment methods

- **Bank transfer**: no surcharge (can take 3 to 7 days).
- **PayPal / Card**: processing surcharge applies.

Reconciliation with the auction, once you've paid, usually shows up within **1 to 2 business days**, depending on the bank, method, and processing schedule. Keep your receipts and monitor your dashboard.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> **Do not pay Copart or IAAI directly.** They may reject payments from third parties or that don't match the account holder on file. To avoid rejections, delays, and penalties, pay through the flow indicated in Campo Brokers. If you pay outside that flow, you take on the risk of rejection, delay, or loss of operational protection.

## If your invoice shows a pending balance even though you already paid

This can be due to bank fees, gateway differences, storage, fines, partial payments, or reconciliation timing. If you don't recognize the balance, open a case from your dashboard and attach receipts and references. See [Support](#soporte).

## If you win and don't pay

Winning and not paying can lead to fines, relisting, storage charges, loss of access, use of your deposit to cover obligations, and account closure. If you have a genuine payment problem, **contact support immediately**: the sooner it's handled, the more options there are to limit the damage.

---

# Towing (Vehicle Pickup)

Once the vehicle is paid for and released, it needs to be picked up from the auction yard. Campo Brokers **posts and manages** the transport request on **Central Dispatch** (or whichever operational channel is available) so carriers can quote the pickup.

## Cost

| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| Request management / posting | US$50 |
| Ground transport | Set by the carrier (billed separately) |

> [!IMPORTANT]
> The **US$50 covers only the management/posting** of the request. The transport cost itself is set by the carrier based on distance, vehicle condition, route, and availability, and is paid separately. Before accepting an offer, check the origin, destination, condition, payment method, and any additional charges. For an estimate beforehand, use the [towing calculator](#calculadoras).

## How to request towing

1. In your dashboard, go to **Request Towing Pickup**.
2. Fill in: the auction location, **lot number**, **VIN**, and **destination** (an authorized or partner warehouse).
3. Confirm the vehicle's payment/release status and provide the **PIN/Gate Pass** if the auction requires one.
4. Pay the management fee (US$50) via PayPal.
5. The request is posted for carriers to quote; track it from your dashboard.

## What you need to have ready

- Correct vehicle details and origin/destination locations.
- A contact at both origin and destination.
- **Pickup PIN / Gate Pass**, if applicable (a code or authorization some auctions require to release the unit).

> [!WARNING]
> If the information is incorrect or the vehicle **is not released**, the carrier won't be able to pick it up even if towing is scheduled, and additional charges or storage fees may apply. Pay on time and request towing promptly.

## Responsibilities

- Transport is carried out by an **external carrier**. Any claim for damage, delay, or delivery condition is handled with the carrier and its insurance. Campo Brokers helps coordinate, but does not control the physical execution of the transport.
- **Storage** charges or yard penalties are the user's responsibility.

## Cancellations

It depends on timing: if **no carrier has been confirmed yet**, there's usually more flexibility; if a carrier is already confirmed or en route, charges or the provider's rules may apply. Request changes or cancellations through [support](#soporte) as soon as possible.

---

# Workshop and Export (Authorized Warehouses)

After the vehicle is picked up from the auction, you can send it to an **authorized warehouse/workshop** inside the U.S. to be documented, prepped, and exported. Campo Brokers coordinates with a **network of authorized warehouses** and centralizes payments when the flow requires it.

> [!NOTE]
> **This service is optional.** If you already have your own or a trusted workshop in the United States, you can send the vehicle straight there and use only what you need from the platform — usually just the auction accounts. When you win the lot you enter your workshop's address for the **original title** (shipped via FedEx as soon as it reaches our office) and the warehouse flow is never triggered. See [Quick start](#inicio-rapido).

## What the warehouse does

- Receives the unit and **documents its condition**.
- Coordinates the **export requirements** and paperwork.
- Moves the vehicle into the **shipping flow** (tow to the dock, ocean booking).
- If the title needs to move from **salvage** to **rebuilt**, it quotes the title rebuild, inspection, and minimum required parts separately.

> [!NOTE]
> Campo Brokers works with a **network of authorized warehouses** (they are not Campo Brokers' own facilities). Each one manages its own timelines, capacity, and processes. Campo Brokers coordinates, centralizes payments when applicable, and follows up to keep things traceable between the user, the warehouse, and the export.

## Export costs

| Case | Item | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Clean or salvage accepted as-is | Management | US$150 |
| | Customs | US$80 |
| | Tow to the dock | US$120 |
| If the destination requires rebuilt | Title rebuild (replaces the US$150 management fee) | US$450 + minimum parts and labor |
| In all cases | Campo Brokers insurance and brokerage | US$75 per vehicle |

- **Ocean freight (Caribbean reference):** a standard vehicle typically moves for between **US$700 and US$900**, depending on port, shipping line, size, season, and availability. That range is a reference for the Caribbean only; other destinations are quoted by route.

## How payments to the warehouse work

Payments go through Campo Brokers when the flow requires holding funds in escrow, documenting progress, or releasing payments against completed work. The warehouse reports the costs (export, documents, rebuild, parts), you review them and discuss **from the dashboard**, and pay through the indicated flow.

## Communication with the warehouse

When the flow allows it, you can **message the warehouse** handling your vehicle right from your dashboard to sort out questions about parts, costs, timelines, documents, photos, and process status — without taking the conversation outside the system.

## Destinations

The network of authorized warehouses focuses on routes to **Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe**. If your destination is outside that scope, check before shipping the vehicle.

## Responsibility at the destination

> [!IMPORTANT]
> The **user is responsible** for customs clearance, paying taxes, and complying with local laws, working with their customs broker or representative at the destination. Campo Brokers and the warehouse can prepare documentation within the scope of the service, but they **do not substitute for the customs authority** and do not guarantee the vehicle will be accepted in the destination country.

## Accepted titles

Generally, **clean**, **rebuilt**, or **rebuildable salvage** titles are evaluated. Titles such as Non-Repairable, Junk, Certificate of Destruction, Parts Only, Flood/Fire, or other branded titles may **not be accepted**. Confirm before bidding or shipping the vehicle. See [Glossary](#glosario).

# Frequently Asked Questions

A selection of the most common questions. Find the full list at [campobroker.com/faqs](https://campobroker.com/faqs/).

## Platform and registration

**Does Campo Brokers buy or bid for me?**
No. Campo Brokers doesn't decide which vehicle to buy or how much to offer. You choose the lot, set your budget, and take on the responsibility for the bid. Our role is to provide tools, access, payments, documentation, towing, warehouses, and support.

**What plans are available to operate as an importer?**
Importer (refundable US$400 deposit, US$10,000 bid cap) and Dealer (US$800 deposit, US$20,000 cap). Both require the US$5 annual membership and an assigned auction account once approved.

**Does the old registration fee still exist?**
No. That old charge no longer exists. The current model is a US$5 annual membership when you activate Importer or Dealer, plus the refundable security deposit.

**When is the US$400 or US$800 deposit refunded?**
When you close your account, as long as there are no outstanding debts (unpaid vehicles, fines, penalties, auction charges, or open cases). It's refunded to the same payment method and can take 4 to 10 days.

## Auctions

**Do I need a dealer license to bid at Copart or IAAI?**
You don't need your own license when operating through the flows Campo Brokers provides, as long as you follow Copart, IAAI, and Campo Brokers policies.

**Is Campo Brokers affiliated with Copart or IAAI?**
No. It's an independent platform, not affiliated with or sponsored by Copart or IAAI. The brand names are mentioned only to identify the third-party auctions.

**What happens after I win a vehicle?**
You complete the Pre-Alert, pay the purchase fee of US$289 per vehicle (first 10; US$300 from the 11th onward), review the vehicle's invoice, and pay on time. Copart/IAAI deadlines are strict; delays result in storage fees or penalties.

**Can I pay for the vehicle directly to Copart or IAAI?**
It's not recommended: they may reject payments from third parties. Pay through the flow indicated in Campo Brokers to avoid rejections, delays, and penalties.

**Which titles should I avoid before bidding?**
Be careful with Bill of Sale Only, Non-Repairable, Certificate of Destruction, Parts Only, Junk, Flood, or Fire, or any brand your country doesn't accept. Check with your customs broker.

## CampoBrokerBot

**What is CampoBrokerBot?**
Campo Brokers' Chrome extension for working alongside the dashboard while you use Copart or IAAI: it connects your session and syncs operational data.

**What does Premium (US$15/30 days) include?**
Visibility of the reserve price, a real-time cost calculator, seller identification, and price comparison. It does not bid automatically for you.

## Towing

**Is the towing cost included in the US$50?**
No. The US$50 covers the request management/posting. Ground transport is paid separately to the carrier, based on distance, condition, and route.

**What is the Pickup PIN or Gate Pass?**
A code or authorization some auctions require to release the vehicle. Without it, the unit can't be picked up even if towing is scheduled.

## Warehouses and export

**What costs apply to clean, salvage, or rebuilt vehicles?**
Clean or accepted salvage: US$150 management + US$80 customs + US$120 tow to the dock. If the destination requires rebuilt: the US$150 management fee is dropped and a US$450 title rebuild is added, plus parts and labor. In all cases, US$75 for insurance and brokerage per vehicle.

**Which countries do the authorized warehouses export to?**
The network focuses on Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. Other destinations are confirmed case by case.

**Who is responsible for taxes and customs at the destination?**
The user, working with their customs broker. Campo Brokers and the warehouse prepare documentation within the scope of the service, but do not substitute for the customs authority.
